A Very Special Update
Many of you already know the big news: we bought the Firehouse! The house is now entirely owned and operated by the people who live here. Currently, the property is privately owned by two of our members, but we plan on transferring it to our collectively-owned corporation as soon as possible.
We’ve been keeping busy at the Firehouse, flying under the radar during this very exciting transition. Our good friend M. is currently working on fully restoring her vintage camper in the main room downstairs. The stream of musical activity has continued undeterred: The Terribles, Cleansing Wave, Fang Noir, Gay Shapes, Mack the Knife, and Shai Erlichman all have recorded perfect music in the basement during our “down time.” And the new “wild and unreasonable” supergroup Funeral Cone practices here now.
Some sweet changes are in store for the Firehouse. We’re re-structuring the main room downstairs, building newer, better rooms and opening up new spaces. We have new folks moving in, and new events on the horizon, housewarming party details forthcoming.
